DESCRIPTION

USB Wave 54 is a compact and small sized 54Mbps USB adapter, based on the IEEE 802.11g Wireless technology

at 2.4 GHz commonly used for industrial, medical and scientic applications.

It is installed and congured as a traditional ethernet card.

The access to the LAN is performed through an Access Point with

Gateway functions.

When used with no Access Point, it is possible to establish a

Point-to-Point connection directly to another PC equipped with

a wireless card 802.11g or 802.11b.

Depending on the distance and on the received signal, USB Wave

54 automatically changes the operating speed from 54 to 1 Mbps,

always keeping the best possible connection at that moment.

If necessary it is possible to manually select up to 13 different channels to adapt to the various conditions or working

environments.

As for the data security USB Wave 54 integrates the latest encryption and authentication protocols like WEP

(Wired Equivalent Privacy) at 64/128 or 256 bit, WPA-TKIP and AES.

USB Wave is perfectly compatible and interoperable with Access Point or Wireless cards based on the 802.11g/b

technology and Wi-Fi compliant.

It is supplied with drivers for the following operating systems: Windows® XP, 200, ME, 98SE, Linux e Mac OS X and

Windows® Vista compliant.
